Pheromonotherapy in domestic carnivore medicine is a medical technique for the treatment of behavioral disorders and the management and prevention of stressful situations in these species. Here is the Pheromonotherapy seen by the one who invented it.

As a research institute, transmitting knowledge and skills is part of our DNA. Exchanging and communicating with the different actors in our field is essential. Teaching and training are here vectors of knowledge and allow the transmission of skills. At IRSEA, its missions are declined under the teaching and the training in various axes:

Previous research by the IRSEA had identified a group of molecules capable of inhibiting the replication of the virus. Today, the research is becoming more precise.

Drosophila form a genus of holometabolic insects (with complete metamorphosis), belonging to the order Diptera, in which we find flies, horse flies, mosquitoes, ... They are also referred to by the more general term "fruit flies". Among them, we find a singular insect, which has enabled man to make major progress in the understanding of genetics, which is Drosophila melanogaster. But it is not the fruit fly that focuses the attention of red fruit growers, especially cherry growers, such as wine growers.

Leafhoppers are small insects (a few millimetres to 1.3 cm long for the largest species), whitish in colour (they are covered with wax), brown, beige or green depending on the species, belonging to the order Homoptera. Their name, which means little cicada, gives a fairly accurate idea of their appearance. Like cicadas, leafhopper larvae have no wings and live underground, where they feed by stinging the roots of plants that the species usually feeds on.
The essence of the IRSEA (research institute in semiochemistry and applied ethology) is ethology, so the need for a department devoted exclusively to ethology and animal welfare was obvious, which is why we created the DCBEA.
The IRSEA is recognised as an accredited centre by the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine, ECAWBM (European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine) to train future specialists in Behavioural Medicine (BM) and Animal Welfare, Ethics and Legislation (AWSEL).
The Research and Teaching Council is a council that is formed by the members of the strategic council who have a doctorate, researchers who have a doctorate and doctoral students (those who are writing a thesis to validate their doctorate). The IRSEA also allows itself to invite other collaborators from the Institute to support the members of the CRE according to the themes dealt with.
Since February 2013 and the introduction of the new legislation for the protection of animals used for scientific purposes (2010/63/EU), we heard more and more about the Animal Welfare Structure (AWBS). This structure is now an obligation in research institutions that use animals in the conduct of projects.
In France and Europe, society is asking more and more questions about animal welfare. This is a relevant awareness, but gives rise to speculation about some treatments for animals. Aware of this problem, Europe has put in place laws to regulate the use of animals in experimentation. These laws evolve regularly to protect animals.

Approximately 10 million cats can be found in France, unfortunately 25% of French people are allergic to them.
As an expert in semiochemistry, IRSEA is a leader in its field and is pushing its field of expertise ever further.
This department was born out of an observation: Man has developed and, in order to optimise his actions, Man has sought to bend his environment to his requirements. A clumsy maneuver that today leads to unprecedented consequences.
Ticks are hematophagous mites that feed on the blood of vertebrates. Their adult size varies from 3 to 6 mm on average depending on the species (up to 3 cm for some tropical species), making them the largest representatives of the order of mites.
Since the return of the wolves to France in 1992, their population has continued to grow. At the end of winter 2019, the estimated number of wolves was 530.
At the heart of the institute is the Data and Statistics Management Service (SGDS), a key service since it is its members who will assist all the researchers or engineers in their research work and resulting projects.
Pheromone is a chemical molecule secreted by an animal, which leads to specific behaviour in another member of the same species. They trigger a response in an individual that can be behavioural (e.g. flight) or physiological.
Fanny is a young woman of almost 27 years old, after a degree in psychology in Grenoble, she starts a master's degree in animal and human behaviour in Rennes. It was a bit by chance that she discovered the IRSEA, she jumped at the opportunity to discover the institute.
