The strategy of IRSEA is to develop a reference pole for Research and Education in the field of Semiochemistry and Applied Ethology, which are the flagship areas, at the basis of the Institute's birth.
Self-financing based on success
The principle of operation of IRSEA is based on the exploitation, through the filing of international patents, of the practical applications resulting from its research.
With more than 400 patents, the vast majority of which are associated with products marketed by pharmaceutical laboratories such as Santé Animale or SIGNS products, the Group-IRSEA's patent valuation agency, IRSEA has been able to ensure its development.
In addition to the valuation of its patents, IRSEA is also financed by public support for research (Bpifrance, research tax credit, European projects) and training, with the support of CIFRE grants.
